Seventeen KCPS seniors received life-changing news on Tuesday: Avila University in partnership with KC Scholars had awarded them full-ride scholarships.

The Bears have scored 82 goals all season, while opponents have only scored 16 against the Bears. They'll play their first district game on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Our KCPS celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month continues with stories of those who have made a difference in our community. Today, we remember Tony Aguirre, a beloved Kansas City coach and mentor.
We are thrilled to share some incredible news about the progress our students and schools have made over the past year. Our district has earned an impressive 73.2% on the 2024 Annual Performance Report (APR), marking a growth of 6.6 percentage points!
The purpose of Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) is to provide a quality education that prepares all of our students, regardless of background or circumstances, for success in college, career and life. We will produce scholars who are high-achieving critical thinkers, prepared to succeed in a constantly changing world and engaged in the improvement of their communities.
